The photo is coming soon.
I have lots of two different types of ecru fabric. I have unwashed matelasse in large pieces and I have large piece of the "George Washington" style bedspreads. Each of these textiles are factory seconds, they were half-way through weaving a particular bedspread and the yarn caught or something went haywire in the process. It is fabulous fabric and eminently useable.
Washing the matelasse will puff the fabric up so that it lives up to its name, which means "stuffed" in French. It is a type of weaving that was developed to look like trapunto quilted fabric, without all the effort of the hand stitching.
Both these fabrics are great for making pillows and home accessories as well as jackets and anything you can dream up. They are both 100% cotton, but the matelasse takes the dye a bit better than the Martha, which is my code name for the "GW" style fabric.
Each bundle of ecru weighs FIVE POUNDS. If you want more than five pounds, or if you would like to make a deal for the entire lot, just call me!
