The famed "George Washington" style of bedspread, originally made by the Bates Bedspread Company in the 1940's, was renamed "America's First" when the Bates Company divided years later. It was made in America until several years ago, when the Bates Company finally closed it's doors. Now all of that has changed! CoCo:Chenille is absolutely delighted to announce the return of the "George Washington" style of bedspread, in 100% cotton, available in twin, full, queen and king, in either ecru or pure white. Regular size Shams and King size ones are available too. SWATCHES AVAILABLE! If you would like to receive "GW" swatches, I'll send you a small piece of ecru and another of white, so that you can see the texture. Just call and leave your phone number twice on the machine if you are on a cell phone. I will call back as soon as I can if I am not in to receive your call. For those of you who need precise measurements, here they are: Twin - 80" wide X 110" long, Full - 96" wide x 110" long, Queen - 102" wide x 116" long and King - 120" square. Regular Shams are for pillows 20" wide by 26" long, king size pillows are 36" long. Our "George Washington" style bedspreads are the old-fashioned kind, meant to cover the pilows and go to the floor. These bedspreads are just a bit heavier than the originals, made on the very same looms, right here in America. Shipping & handling for each bedspread will run about $16, via UPS, depending on how far away you live. There is 7% sales tax on all orders shipped within New Jersey.
