She has grown totally attached to it and cannot go to sleep without it. Unfortunately, her love and constant holding of her little ponie has also caused it to tear and shred. CY * * * Here is a long letter that I just received, but it is so touching that I wanted to share the entire piece with you. Dear Christina: I wanted to write to thank you and express my gratification and sincere thanks for managing to deliver the George Washington bedspread that my family was presenting to my grandmother for her 98th birthday. Our grandmother has had her George Washington bedspread since she was married. She had kept up the tradition of owning a George Washington bedspread by purchasing this same bedspread for each of her three daughters when they each were married. Over these many, many, many, many years of use, this high quality bedspread had understandably begun to show its wear. It had serviced our grandmother very well!!! Our grandmother loved this bedspread very much. She had repeatedly managed to send each of her family members to the stores to try to locate this same bedspread - a very difficult task!!! Each of us were so disappointed to return from the stores empty handed, only to see the disappointment on her face. Her 98th birthday was approaching and her family wanted so desperately to locate this bedspread for her. With much research, we were able to locate your phone number and were very surprised and excited to learn that you could have it delivered within such a short time frame for her birthday!!! Well, you kept your promise!!! I had received the bedspread within a couple of days, and in beautiful condition!!! Well, Christina, needless to say our grandmother was elated when she opened her gift to find this bedspread!!! It was as though she had won the lottery!!! Words cannot express to you the joy, excitement and happiness all of us felt on our grandmother's 98th birthday!!! Thank you so much for making this special birthday a memorable one for all of us, and for providing such wonderful quality customer service which is very hard to find these days. After several trys we succeeded with a "GW" style Coverlet, and I changed the pom poms out for a more traditional knotted fringe. This is now an option for all CoCo:Chenille customers.
